Actually human resources is the more modern terminology. It used to be "personnel" and still is in some places.

Human resources means to imply that the people - with all their talent and hard work - are the greatest asset to a company.

Resource is a positive term - something good to appreciate. Although, let's face it - many employers do not do that.

Otherwise it could be called "human liabilities". And sometimes that's true if an employee is a real problem to deal with.

But good employees are the best assets any business can have, and they should be valued more than they usually are.

Hopes this clarifies for you.

What was old-fashioned was "personnel." That's what "human resources" evolved from. I don't think it's an ideal term, but I'm pretty tired of people constantly trying to create names to pamper and soothe those who just don't like the idea that they are mere cogs in the business machine. It is what it is. There are information resources, vendor resources, communications resources, and at the core are the human resources. You are creative and aocial in your off hours. When you work, you belong to the employer.

No I do not work in HR. But I have worked for a long time and I know that in the working world it's not all about you. Very little about you in fact. If you got to do everything you wanted, when you wanted, and could demand what they call you, then you wouldn't be paid for doing it. And as someone who has worked a long time, I have found that bosses don't like complainers. If you have an issue, you should bring with it a possible solution. So what is yours?

@Awake4Truth Look, what more do you want? do you really believe this story of Gods? and what of the abrahamic God Jehova, a vile, wrathful and vengeful god. The story of the bible is there as a warning, this guy? this Jesus? He tried to give humanity a set of morals to live by, and a way to live by your OWN governance, and what happened to him? Have a look at Salvadores Dalis painting the crucifixion if you want to know about being "put in a box" by these ruling "Gods". Waiting for a miracle? no

@TheHeuristicIslander The more you wright, the more you show you don't know what you are talking about. For one, the bible isn't talking about literal Israel. It's talking about spiritual Israel. Meaning God's people. Who are God's people? Those who believe in God's Son Jesus. Jesus came as a willing sacrifice for paying the debt for our sin. He wasn't hung on a cross against His will. He came to do just that.
So u get a better understanding of what I mean, watch -
The Last Adam (Who is Jesus?!)
